Abuja finest upcoming artists 2023

According to AdVance Universe, Here is the latest list of the Abuja Top 10 finest upcoming Artiste to look out for in 2023 based on some interesting facts about each of them.

1. CAIRO

Cairo

Usman Suleiman popularly known by his stage name Cairo hails from Kogi state Nigeria. Born in Lagos and grew up in the Capital city of Abuja. Always had interesting in Music but as a great listener & not for once thought he’d be making professionally at least not until 2016 when realized how easily creative he could make good music.

He continued to put in more time perfecting his pen-game & after 3 years, recorded his first Hit single titled “JUSTICE LEAGUE”.

The following year 2020, he released what is revered to be one of his best songs thus far. He calls this one “MARIPOSA”. Dropped an EP later the same year he called “RIPPLEEFFECT” shared stage with the likes of MI, VECTOR, LADIPOE at the Hennessy Artistry2022 just a couple days after releasing his most recent hit “LOOSE & LUCKY”. He went ahead to lose in the Second round of the competition in Lagos sulking as he felt he could have done better. Cairo who is currently based in Abuja Nigeria’s Nation capital is a versatile and multi talented rap artist who’s aimed at bringing Hip-pop, Funk & Alternate fusion to the Global scale.

2. SOLEX

Akinbola Elizabeth Raphael popularly known as Lizee Raphael is a Nigerian singer and a songwriter, she hailed from Ibadan in Oyo state.

The 21 year old singer is respected for her unique singing accent and vocal power in music, her style of music has always made Lizee stand out. Fans have testified that even watching Lizee live leaves them with goosebumps.

The talented singer is described to sound similar to Simi, she won an award of excellence in Abuja 2021 and has been nominated countlessly. Currently, Lizee has never lost a nomination, she brings them home.

She’s a student of National Open University of Nigeria and she’s in her 3rd year. Lizee Started music in 2019 after the release of her hit song “Hello God” she has shared stage with reputable personalities like Sabinus, Seyilaw, AY and many others… She’s identified with her pinky haircut.

Her recent song is “With You” available on all platforms, it is a single off her incoming EP coming later this year.

The talented singer is also respected for her energetic performances, we’ve received comments that she’s a vibe on stage.

She has worked with lots of brands such as Boomplay, Yes Academy, Make Music Abuja and HipTv, and she has been on a major competition platforms such as Access the star, Nigerian Idol, The Voice Nigeria, Boomplay Campus Music Star, Talent Thrones Show and many more.

She recently released a single project Titled “Warm Embrace” , a song that reminds us of who we can rely on when we’re in need or Tired. Basically a song of Reassurance.

He started off singing as a hobby but took it professionally in 2019 with his first Hit single tittled “SAY SOMETHING” featuring 6 different artists that has made their mark in music before him (PRIME), simultaneously on the track.

Prime has shared stage with the likes of Teni, OdumoduBlack, Johnny Drill, Rema, Ayra Starr and a host of others and has worked with the likes of Stuner, Nuell June etc just to mention a few. Prime who is currently based in Abuja Nigeria’s Nation capital is a versatile and multi talented singer who’s aimed at bringing Afropop to the Afro beat genre on a Global scale . Prime is currently working on a couple of singles and sets of amazing projects soon to be reveal in 2023 and beyond.

8. BLVCKOI BUNNY

Nigerian based Ghanian Trapster Blvckboibunny is an exceptional artist whose musical ambitions started way back in junior high school where he performed on different occasions at school during social events. More than a decade later, his insatiable love for music prompted him to turn his long time passion into a career.

Much of his style can be attributed to listening and observing wide range of artists like Eminem, A-Reece, Tory Lanez and Burna Boy.However, rather than becoming an imitation of these model artists, he strived to pave his own unique path and ensured that his music flowed without reservations or restrictions thereby bringing to the table a different, soulful and smooth style of rap music.

Onyebuchi Onwukwe Joseph (born 5th May 1999), known professionally as DON BUCHI ,is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. A prominent figure in the modern-day Afrobeats music scene, Don Buchi is regarded as one of the biggest and most influential Afrobeats artists of his time. He began recording music at the age of 15 and released a collaborative single with Mechelino (Don’t Break My heart). In 2020, Don Buchi became more Noticed after releasing ” Heart Work”, which also spawned the singles “Odor/Comfort” and “Your Matter”(2021).

Itunuoluwa Deborah Teniola (born 11 December 2002), known professionally as Tenny Ann is a Nigerian singer and songwriter born in Ondo state. She started singing at the age of 8 in the church choir and has been a full time singer since then, amidst school and other things. After covering several songs by popular artists on instagram, she signed with BYC records in 2022. Her debut single “Yolo”was released on 20 April 2022. The single was nominated for “song of the year” and “Achievement in vocals” at the 2022 Ondo state music awards (OSMAS). She was also nominated for “Songwriter of the year” and “Best Female performance” at the OSMAS . Tenny Ann’s second single “Reality” was released on 18 June 2022. It was also nominated for “Achievement in vocals” at the 2022 Ondo state music awards (OSMAS). Tenny sings in English, Pidgin and Yoruba; her music is a blend of Afrobeats, R&B and hip-hop. She is currently a student of Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, Edo state.
